Mutual Aid Agreement Requirements
Partner agencies must meet specific qualifications for Mutual Aid Agreement approval.
- Qualified law enforcement, fire/rescue, emergency management, or certified SAR organization
- Demonstrated operational capability and ICS/NIMS compliance
- Commitment to mutual aid and resource sharing
- Participation in joint training exercises (minimum annually)
- Designated agency liaison and emergency contact protocols
How MAAs Work
A Mutual Aid Agreement establishes a formal partnership between Ironclad Thor Emergency Response Team and a qualified agency. This agreement outlines deployment protocols, resource expectations, communication procedures, and priority placement criteria.
Priority Placement: During concurrent incidents when multiple agencies request support, Mutual Aid partners receive preference based on incident severity, resource availability, and agreement terms. Non-Mutual Aid agencies are served on a first-come, first-served basis after Mutual Aid commitments are fulfilled.
Mutual Benefit: MAAs create operational familiarity, streamline emergency activations, and support coordinated response planning. Partner agencies benefit from priority access while contributing to regional emergency preparedness through joint training and coordination.
Note: Mutual Aid inquiries are reviewed by the Emergency Response Team coordinator. Approval is based on operational fit, geographic coverage, and mutual benefit assessment.
